16.3.5.2 SCOPE: All individuals who wish to apply to practice the profession of athletic training in the state of New Mexico and meet the requirements but have not taken or passed the examination.

16.3.5.3 STATUTORY AUTHORITY: These rules are promulgated pursuant to the Athletic Trainers Practice Act, Section 61-14D-1 to 61-14D-19 NMSA 1978.

16.3.5.8 PROVISIONAL PERMITS: Will grant to individuals meeting all requirements except the national certification exam. The provisional permit will be valid no more than six months. No individual will be issued more than two provisional permits.
